Associate Vice President, Finance (2021/FN/01/017)

Primary role is to lead the Finance team, with responsibility to oversee the full spectrum of Finance functions (reporting, analysis, planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, internal and external audit).

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Financial reporting, full set of audited accounts
  2.  Liaise with internal and external auditors
  3. Monthly management reporting
  4. Supervise junior finance staff on cash management matters
  5.  Lead annual budgeting exercise
  6. Prepare relevant board memos relating to Finance
  7. Annual process improvement to policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Bachelors’ in accounting & finance
  2. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  3. At least 8 years’ experience in related work experience
  4. Ideally Islamic finance related, ability to handle group accounts and IFRS
  5.  Familiarity with UBS Sage is an advantage
  6. Excellent in Microsoft applications
  7.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  8. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Associate Vice President, Corporate Communications (2021/CC/01/018)

Primary role is to lead the overall communications, branding and marketing activities for the IILM. The officer is expected to develop and execute an integrated communications strategy to promote the IILM’s story and protect the IILM’s reputation among external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute high-quality, multi-channel communication campaigns to advance the IILM’s mission and mandate.
  2. Write and distribute effective communication materials, including press releases, briefing notes and key messages – turning the IILM story into compelling content that resonates with both internal and external audiences.
  3. Forge and maintain relationships with key members of local and international media. Anticipate and respond to their needs to drive factually correct story placements.
  4. Develop and manage press conferences and various events to enhance brand awareness of the IILM.
  5. Provide advice and support to senior executives when dealing with the media, including coordinating interviews and preparing speaking points.
  6. Manage the IILM’s website and social media platforms.
  7. Creating and managing a brand strategy, including setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term.
  8.  Manage the communications, marketing and brand budget for the organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Degree in Public Relations, Mass Comms or Communications or related fields.
  2.  5 to 8 years of experience as communications specialist.
  3. Excellent in copywriting and editing
  4. Experience in web design and content production is a plus
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  6. Solid understanding of project management principles with experience in managing different stakeholders
  7. Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  8.  Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
