The IILM’s internship programme provides opportunities for highly talented and motivated individuals to obtain practical work experience to complement their academic learning while gaining valuable insight and exposure to the workings and mandate of the IILM. In addition, an internship with the IILM is also an excellent way for individuals to learn and bring new perspectives while improving their skills in a dynamic and diverse environment.
Since 2013, the IILM has been a regular issuer of short-term Sukuk in the market, having issued in excess of 207 Sukuk to facilitate cross-border liquidity management for institutions offering Islamic financial services.
The IILM is currently seeking internships to assist in the Business Operations Department.
The IILM’s Business Operations Department forms the front line and core business of the IILM’s activities. Successful candidates would also be expected to undertake other ad-hoc initiatives from time to time.
Duration of the internship is a minimum of 3 months.
To be eligible for an internship, candidates must have an undergraduate degree or are currently in a final year of field related to banking, finance, business administration, Islamic finance, Shari’ah or any relevant course.
Candidates must be at least 20 years old at the time of application.
Good command of the English language (written and verbal)
Familiarity with project management and data analysis is an added advantage.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
Successful interns are eligible for an allowance however all travel and living costs will be borne by the intern.
