The IILM’s governance structure contains key organs designed for effective oversight and management and sharing of experience. The IILM’s governance structure, comprising the General Assembly, Governing Board, Board Executive Committee, Board Audit Committee, Board Risk Management Committee, Shari’ah Committee, and Compensation and Remuneration Committee, facilitates cooperation among members towards their shared strategic goals in establishing the IILM.
The Board Executive Committee is a committee of the Governing Board responsible for oversight of the general conduct and operations of the IILM.

The Board Audit Committee is responsible for assisting the Governing Board in its oversight of the financial reporting of the IILM. This Committee will also play an active role in overseeing the effectiveness of internal control systems, the performance of the internal audit function and the compliance of the IILM with legal and regulatory requirements.
